Is it okay to blame kids for being an introvert?
Introversion is not something people adapt. It is an inborn temperament and has more to do with our genes. The study suggests that kids begin to display the signs of extroversion or introversion around they are a quarter year old. When kids are introverted, parents need to take that one extra step to ensure that their kids open up to them.
Even in schools, teachers may sometimes express that your kid would communicate more, or may have observed that while the other kids are chatting, and giggling, she is sitting quietly. However, all this is not a sign of concern but is advantageous to acknowledge that your kid is introverted.
People frequently fear that a kid who spends a lot of time alone and is reluctant to discuss their concerns is experiencing some form of mental suffering, like depression. Although such conduct can reflect symptoms of depression, in such instances, we would be looking for alterations in behavior patterns. Being introverted is a personality feature rather than a reaction to environmental factors. In other terms, an exuberant and talkative toddler who later becomes quiet and distant did not overnight develop into an introvert.
Many parents (and educators) try to persuade introverted kids to "open up" and mingle more with other kids out of worry for their mental well-being. A list of introverts' characteristics is an excellent place to start, but it only provides a foundational grasp of introversion.
