Are you prepared to discover the expanse of space and the enthralling cosmos we inhabit? These fascinating space facts will shock your head!

·       The largest body in our solar system is the Sun. It accounts for almost all of the solar system's mass (99%).

·       There are billions of countless stars and planets in the galaxy known as the Milky Way, which is where we are located. But did you realize that the cosmos also contains billions of additional galaxies?

·       Our solar system's coldest planet, Neptune, with a mean temperature of -353°F (-214°C)!

·       The largest man-made satellite in Earth's orbit is the International Space Station (ISS). It is roughly the size of a football diamond and travels around the Planet at a speed of 17,500 mph!

·       Laika, a dog, became the first living thing to visit space. In 1957, a stray dog named Laika from the Moscow streets became the first creature to orbit the planet.

·       Air is absent in space, hence there is no sound. Since space is a vacuum, sound waves cannot move across it since they need a medium to do so.

·       Solar particles interacting with the magnetic field of Earth result in the Aurora Borealis, also known as the Northern Lights. In the night sky, they produce lovely hues like green, pink, and purple.

·       The 'Parker Solar Probe' is the fastest thing ever made by humanity. On its mission to investigate the Sun, it sped up to a top speed of 430,000 miles per hour!

So, there you have it, some cool facts about space to get you started on your space exploration journey. The universe is vast and full of wonders, and there is so much more to discover!
