Should money be the driving force?
Should money be the driving force of life? Yes, it can be. Should money be the only driving force? No, never. As we grow up, we have aspirations and objectives. We set our eyes straight on where we see ourselves in life. Money is practically a very significant need. All individuals need to earn a living with their hard work and sometimes primarily become the driving force. However, possessing a perception that it is all that should matter when opting for a career or profession is where we need to refrain. People work hard to earn money, success, fame, and a great lifestyle.
But is this a great lesson to teach our kids, to work hard for success and money or a good career? No. The purpose of education is not to yield money, it is one of the benefits. The purpose of education is to lead a life that is content and happy.
Our kids need to prepare for a future that is happier and more content for them to lead. Therefore, as parents, our main objective is to help kids understand that gaining an education is much more than earning a lot of money.
Kids are fragile. They learn things quickly especially what they hear from the adults who surround them. The way we portray the importance of education is the way they are going to learn about it. The kids need to be explained that education makes them a better version of themselves and guarantee a decisive personality.
Money is an economic need and must be limited to that. Nurturing kids who understand the importance of money but do not overvalue it is the way of developing a kid with a holistic personality.
